Sumary
This paper could be seen as a part of the many articles and books, written by myself, and aimed at the reconstruction of the willing process in Buenos Aires through the Indian Period, from a legal history view. After the analysis of the changes operated in the inheritance law and doctrine during the second half of the eighteenth century, two chapters are devoted to delineate the survival of the old and the rise of the new in nineteenth century Buenos Aires legal practice. The notarial records constitute, through a twenty year sampling, the main source of this work. |
