Legal analysis of the Movie A separation

The paper provides a legal analysis, mainly from the gender studies and the Colombian law, of some situations presented in the Iranian film A separation (2011) directed by Asghar Farhadi. After make a presentation of the film, addresses two main topics: the no-fault divorce and joint parenting and shared care of the children, two fundamental topics in any divorce process regardless of where this occurs. However the historical, cultural, socioeconomic and political context will mark huge differences, very interesting for the legal analysis proposed. Finally, the authors will proceed to raise a series of legal questions derived from the film for analysis of the reader.
