Sumary
This paper is based on the analysis of Pierre Legendre about “the juridical” as the juxtaposition
of “the biological, the social and the unconscious”. Hence, Law does not deal with already
instituted forms-of-life: it is the very institution of forms-of-life itself. A juridical system
creates a taxonomy that defines beings by giving each of them a determined place or square to be
occupied. An individual is mainly produced and generated as such, through an operation that
confines him into a certain position within a genealogy tree. In that way, the object of Law is
life itself and its capture under the facade of a “subject” |
