» CONFINEMENT AND SCHOOLS: SUBJECTS OF PRISON POLICY OR EDUCATION POLICY
By Marcelo D. Fraga

Sumary

This work is part of a research project developed by the Group of Social Studies of Life in Prison (GESVIP) Universidad Nacional de Quilmes. In this context and having visited a criminal, I could witness the scene of a ritual of our own life at school, “The End of The Course Ceremony”, but in this occasion, it was in a "locked" school in a Prison Unit. Such an image of one organization within another, rituals, goals, regulations that did not seem to match made me infer that the issue of education in a context of confinement was interesting to analyze from the Educational Policy and not just from the prison policy itself. The provisional results of the research offered the opportunity to address the situation of individuals whose educational biography took place in confinement contexts. All this together with the categories developed by Prof. Beltran Llavador seminar under the Theory and Methods of Administration and Management of Education for the MSc in Politics and Education Management of UNLU are the basis on which this work is elaborated.

Key words

Perpetual prison - Jail - Education - Educative policy - Institutions
